My QR code won’t scan, what to check
The handful of issues behind almost every failed scan.
Contrast and quiet zone
The most common causes are low contrast and a missing margin. Use dark modules on a light background and leave empty space around the code.
Logos and density
If you added a logo, raise error correction to H and keep the logo small and central. Long content makes a denser, harder-to-scan code, shorten the URL where you can.
Print size
Make sure the printed code is large enough for the scanning distance, roughly one-tenth of the distance it is read from.
Try another scanner
Camera apps vary in how they read codes. Test with two or three phones before deciding a code is broken.
